Basketball Game Preview: Dorchester Longhorns vs. Hampton Hawks

The Dorchester Longhorns will head out to challenge the Hampton Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses for Dorchester and ten for Hampton.

Dorchester is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Twin River on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dorchester was dealt a 65-21 defeat at the hands of Twin River. The Longhorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.

Meanwhile, Hampton was beaten by Twin River 70-43 on Thursday. The Hawks were down 60-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Dorchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Dorchester might still be hurting after the 51-29 loss they got from Hampton in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Dorchester, Brayden Dose (who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
