St. Francis has gone 9-1 against Rosary recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The St. Francis Spartans will take on the Rosary Royals at 6:00 p.m. Rosary took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Francis, who comes in off a win.

St. Francis will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 29-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They skirted past St. Laurence 61-58. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Spartans considering their 23-point performance the game before.

Riley Austin was nothing short of spectacular: she went 5 for 9 on her way to 18 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Mia Quaranta was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven assists.

Austin wasn't the only one working in the assists department: St. Francis was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2023.

Meanwhile, Rosary unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 74-21 loss at the hands of Aurora Central Catholic. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 543rd, while the Chargers are ranked 34th).

St. Francis' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Rosary, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-12.

St. Francis strolled past Rosary when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 50-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Francis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
