Basketball Preview: Kingsville Tigers vs. Chilhowee Indians
The Kingsville Tigers are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Chilhowee Indians at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Chilhowee took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Kingsville, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Kingsville strolled past the Bobcats with points to spare, taking the game 54-40.
Meanwhile, Chilhowee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 72-55 fall against Bronaugh. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Kingsville pushed their record up to 13-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Chilhowee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Kingsville against the Indians in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 75-30 victory. Will Kingsville repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
