Volleyball Recap: Beamer Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Beamer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Decatur Golden Gators, falling 3-0. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Golden Gators since Monday.

While Beamer was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Ayanna Bloodsaw and Kiana Smiley, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Annette Sagale and her ten assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Beamer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Decatur, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Beamer will challenge rival Enumclaw at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Decatur is set to face off against their familiar foe Jefferson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
