Basketball Recap: Bradley Knights Takes a Loss

Bradley Knights extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 71-62 to the Rocket City Falcons. Bradley Knights was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rocket City apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

As for Rocket City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Rocket City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Neumann led the charge by shooting 90% from the field on his way to 23 points. Philip Borchers was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 18 points and nine assists.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bradley Knights will challenge Oakwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocket City, they will venture away from home to challenge Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
