Eagle faced Kuna in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs blew past the Kavemen 8-2. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.
Peyton Bargen made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Bargen was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, Eagle let Brooke Frame and Aly Vieira run wild. Frame went 2-for-3 with three RBI, while Vieira went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Those three RBI gave Frame a new career-high.
Eagle hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least two batters in five consecutive games.
