Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Nazareth Area's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Nazareth Area barely beat Easton Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Eagles blew past the Rovers 15-1 on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Eagles have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Chase Biedermann was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Strawn, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Nazareth Area always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Easton Area only posted an OBP of .286.

Nazareth Area is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Easton Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Nazareth Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Easton Area, they will host State College at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rovers are facing the Little Lions at the right time seeing as the Little Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
