Basketball Recap: Central Plains Takes a Loss

After flying high against Otis-Bison last Tuesday, Central Plains came back down to earth. The Central Plains Oilers fell to the St. John Tigers 38-32. The Oilers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Central Plains' defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for St. John, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, Central Plains will be playing at home against Ellinwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tigers duke it out with the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
