Baseball Recap: Summersville Comes Up Short

Summersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Van Buren Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly five runs.

Summersville's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Van Buren, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Summersville will face off against Niangua at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van Buren, they will challenge Thayer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
