Soccer Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lugoff-Elgin Demons. If Westwood were looking for revenge after losing 6-1 to Lugoff-Elgin when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lugoff-Elgin, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Coming up, Westwood will welcome West Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Florence will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Westwood surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
