Softball Recap: William Blount Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

William Blount waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the West Rebels. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-3 back in March.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Merriman, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

William Blount's record now sits at 22-10. As for West, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. William Blount will welcome Carter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West, they will face off against Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
