Soccer Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield fell victim to Macon County and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Anthony Sanginez Gonzalez was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Macon County, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Goodpasture Christian on the 14th. As for Macon County, they have also already played their next game, a 3-3 draw against DeKalb County on the 18th.
