Softball Recap: Kenedy Takes a Loss

Kenedy blew Falls City out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Falls City got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 8-6.

Jaylen Rodriguez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Riann Aguirre, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Kenedy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Falls City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Kenedy has already played their next game (against Premont), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Falls City will be paying especially close attention to the Lions' contest: after the Lions face off against the Cowboys, they'll take on Falls City again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
