On Wednesday, the Environmental Charter White Tigers didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the SEED: LA Grizzlies, but they still walked away with a 58-53 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the White Tigers.

When it comes to explaining why SEED: LA lost, don't look at Amour Escoe-Bailey. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 19 on his way to 28 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Escoe-Bailey is becoming a predictor of SEED: LA's success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 2-1 (and 3-6 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Williams, who posted four points in addition to eight blocks and six boards.

Environmental Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for SEED: LA, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.

Environmental Charter will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Price at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for SEED: LA, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 84-34 defeat against West on the 20th.
