Recap: Gilmer County Titans vs. Clay County Panthers
The Gilmer County Titans won against the Clay County Panthers last Monday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Gilmer County strolled past Clay County with points to spare, taking the game 55-37. The victory was familiar territory for Gilmer County who now have three in a row.
Tyler Bush was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jacob Mick was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Gilmer County pushed their record up to 5-13 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Clay County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.
Coincidentally, Gilmer County and Clay County will both be playing Braxton County the next time they take the court. Clay County will head out to face Braxton County at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while Gilmer County will head out to face them at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.
