Baseball Recap: Bronson Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Bronson had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 8-2 to the St. John Lutheran Saints. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Zach McClelland put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. McClelland was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronson will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Riverside Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Lutheran, they will host Peniel Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
