Volleyball Recap: East Side Comes Up Short

East Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Caldwell Tech Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 two weeks ago.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17.

John Jimenez was a one-man wrecking crew For West Caldwell Tech. as he had 18 digs and three assists. Jimenez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 15 or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

East Side's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for West Caldwell Tech, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4.

Coming up, East Side will face off against Barringer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Caldwell Tech, they will square off against East Orange Campus on Tuesday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
