            Softball Recap: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. West-Oak Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Pendleton extended their losing streak  to five  on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-12 in the process. They lost  14-0 to the West-Oak Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season,  with their most recent  loss being a  12-2  defeat  two weeks ago.
As for West-Oak, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record  this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six  runs or more this season.
For West-Oak's part,  Abi Blackwell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Blackwell has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI and one  double. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Brylee Whitfield was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Teagan Whitfield, who  got on base  in two of her three plate appearances with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 Pendleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West-Oak, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  13-11  victory against Crescent on the 2nd.
