Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Christian Wolverines vs. Summit Atlas Orcas

The Northwest Christian Wolverines will square off against the Summit Atlas Orcas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

If Northwest Christian beats Summit Atlas with 60 points on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Northwest Christian narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Concordia Christian Academy 60-57. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summit Atlas). They had just enough and edged Summit Sierra out 65-63. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Orcas considering their 23-point performance the contest before.

Northwest Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Summit Atlas, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
