The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans will take on the Greenwood Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Upper Dauphin Area is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Upper Dauphin Area barely beat Newport the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Trojans blew past the Buffaloes 12-1 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won three in a row.

Colt Bellis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Upper Dauphin Area is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-8 otherwise. Bellis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Upper Dauphin Area let Karson Engle and Nolan Schreffler run wild. Engle got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Schreffler went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those two stolen bases gave Engle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Grassmyer, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.
Upper Dauphin Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Greenwood's offense. They lost 11-0 to Halifax on Friday. Greenwood hasn't had much luck with Halifax recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Upper Dauphin Area's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Greenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Upper Dauphin Area has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greenwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Upper Dauphin Area skirted past Greenwood 9-8 in their previous meeting on Tuesday. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
