Washington is 1-9 against Fife since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Patriots will be playing at home against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Washington will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Orting, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Patriots put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 11-1 win on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Steve-Rae Garcia-Zamora was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Alex Miles and Harmony Steenhard did most of the damage at the plate: Miles went 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run, while Steenhard went 4-for-5 with three runs and one double. Dee Moore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Washington was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Orting only posted a batting average of .150.
Meanwhile, Fife made easy work of Jefferson on Friday and carried off a 10-1 victory.
Like Washington, Fife also got a great game from a two-way player: Mallory Geving. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Geving was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaitlin Christiansen, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Ufer, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Washington's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Fife, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Washington hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Fife struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
