Football Recap: Salisbury Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Salisbury and Carson on Friday hardly resembled the 26-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Hornets lost 41-20 to the Cougars. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2019.

When it comes to explaining why Salisbury lost, don't look at Jaylin Johnson. Despite the final result, he picked up 180 receiving yards and one touchdown.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Damo'N Broussard and Rosean Perkins. Broussard rushed for 78 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries while Perkins rushed for 79 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Salisbury and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Carson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Salisbury didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 defeat against Jay M. Robinson on the 26th. As for Carson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-14 loss against West Rowan on the 26th.
