After losing to Rosewood the last time they met, North Duplin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The North Duplin Rebels blew past the Rosewood Eagles 74-53 on Monday. The Rebels pushed the score to 54-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the loss, Rosewood still got an impressive performance from Hunter Sasser, who posted 15 points and six rebounds. That's the most boards Sasser has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Hobbs, who put up eight points and eight rebounds.

North Duplin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.8 points over those games. As for Rosewood, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Duplin beat Rosewood by a score of 56-50 on Tuesday.
