Basketball Game Preview: Shea Raiders vs. Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers

The Shea Raiders will head out to square off against the Juanita Sanchez Complex Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Monday, Shea came up short against St. Mary Academy-Bay View and fell 57-45. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by Tiyara Gonzalez, who posted 18 points and six assists. Her afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Azilyn Medina, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Juanita Sanchez Complex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Prout, falling 48-20.

Juanita Sanchez Complex's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Shea, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
