After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mullen, Smoky Hill was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Arapahoe Warriors 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Buffaloes: when they faced off against the Warriors back in September, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Smoky Hill was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-101), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 18-25, 16-14.

Cherrish Norwood paced Smoky Hill's offense, picking up 14 kills. Norwood got some help from Anna Austin and her 26 assists. Emma Stangle controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Smoky Hill's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Arapahoe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Smoky Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Grandview on the 28th. As for Arapahoe, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Overland on the 28th.
