Softball Recap: Senatobia Comes Up Short

If Senatobia was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of Clarksdale on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell 10-6 to the Pine Grove Panthers on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-12 back in February.

Senatobia saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anna Hollis Faulkner, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. Bethany Ward also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Senatobia's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Pine Grove, their record now sits at 10-13.

Coming up, Senatobia will be playing at home against Walnut at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Grove, they will host Falkner at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
