Staunton has gone 7-1-1 against North Mac recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Staunton will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Staunton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They beat Jacksonville by a goal, winning 1-0. Given Staunton's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Jacksonville are ranked 210th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Staunton's one-goal win came courtesy of Kaliana Buehler, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, North Mac has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 29. They fell 2-0 to Lincoln on Monday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but North Mac couldn't quite close it out.

North Mac's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Staunton, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Everything went Staunton's way against North Mac in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Staunton made off with an 8-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
