Basketball Recap: Orlando Little's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Victory Christian Academy over Shining Light Baptist Academy

Victory Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 67-54 to the Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sharks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Orlando Little, who posted 23 points. Those 23 points gave Little a new career-high. Javan Erwin was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Shining Light Baptist Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dennis Mosychuk, who earned 20 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Mosychuk, who had 18 points.

Victory Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Shining Light Baptist Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Victory Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Cornerstone Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Shining Light Baptist Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
