Baseball Game Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Doss Dragons

The Valley Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Doss Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Valley has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valley came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Pleasure Ridge Park, falling 19-4. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Doss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to Portland Christian.

Christian Prado Rodriguez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Doss' loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Valley suffered a grim 20-2 defeat to Doss in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
