Great Bend hadn't done well against Hays recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Panthers never let the Indians get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Chayla Prendergast, who gave up just two hits to keep Hays off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kya Behr, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Katherine Mazouch, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Great Bend pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hays, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Great Bend will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Indians: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
