Lewisburg faced DeSoto Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Lewisburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kamari Parker led the charge by getting 13 assists and four digs.

DeSoto Central's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Marlee Mueller, who had 16 digs and one assist, and Kate Sorenson, who had eight assists and three digs.

Lewisburg's win bumped their record up to 25-8. As for DeSoto Central, they moved to 21-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Lewisburg has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Hernando on the 27th. As for DeSoto Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lake Cormorant on the 27th.
