Baseball Recap: Jackson's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Jackson took a 14-run defeat the last time they faced off against Citronelle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jackson Aggies came out on top in a nail-biter against the Citronelle Wildcats on Monday, sneaking past 5-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Aggies, who have now won four matches in a row.

Jackson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Citronelle, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

Jackson and Citronelle could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings. Jackson will face off against Millry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 153 places (259 vs. 106). Similarly, Citronelle (ranked 247th) will meet T.R. Miller (ranked 73rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
