Basketball Recap: Fennimore Takes a Loss

Fennimore lost against Cuba City back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fennimore Golden Eagles took a blow against the Cuba City Cubans, falling 69-23. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Cubans are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Fennimore and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Cuba City, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fennimore will host Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cuba City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mineral Point at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mineral Point's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
