Mars has gone 8-2 against Chartiers Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mars Fightin' Planets will venture away from home to face off against the Chartiers Valley Colts at 6:00 p.m.

Mars is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 66-43 to New Castle. While losing is never fun, the Fightin' Planets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, Chartiers Valley waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 92-79. The Colts' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Mars' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Chartiers Valley, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Mars lost to Chartiers Valley on the road by a decisive 65-50 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Mars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
