Basketball Game Preview: Mendota Aztecs vs. Strathmore Spartans

The Mendota Aztecs and the Strathmore Spartans will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mendota will head into Thursday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 22-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past Torres 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Aztecs have posted since February 9th.

Meanwhile, Strathmore humbled Liberty with a 66-35 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Strathmore has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Mendota, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-6.
