Wayne strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Martensdale-St. Mary's Blue Devils. The five-run effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Wayne pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Martensdale-St. Mary's, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-0 win against Moravia on the 7th. As for Martensdale-St. Mary's, they will square off against Mount Ayr at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
