Basketball Recap: Memorial Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 17-17 at halftime, Memorial was not quite Randle's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell 48-38 to the Lions. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Memorial lost, don't look at Jack Floyd. Despite the final result, he shot 50% from the field en route to 16 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Chang, who posted eight points.

Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Randle, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 73-56 victory against South Houston on the 20th. As for Randle, they have also already played their next contest, a 67-57 win against Hebron on the 20th.
