Troy had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Wellsboro Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since September 18th.

Troy wouldn't go down easily and took Wellsboro into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 25-16, 18-25, 15-12.

Aryana Andrus paced Troy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Andrus got some help from Brenna Jackson and her 40 assists. Liana Lyon controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Despite the loss, Wellsboro had strong showings from Taylor Main, who had 19 digs and 16 assists, and Maddy Cruttenden, who had 32 digs and two aces. Cruttenden has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jillian Mickey, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Troy's win bumped their record up to 20-2-1. As for Wellsboro, they moved to 15-3 with that defeat, which also ended their ten-match winning streak.

Troy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Selinsgrove on the 18th. As for Wellsboro, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against South Williamsport on the 20th.
