Preview: Trinity Shamrocks vs. Susquehanna Township HANNA
The Trinity Shamrocks's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Susquehanna Township HANNA at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Trinity has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 967 points over their last 14 matchups.
Trinity pushed their score all the way to 74 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of Boiling Springs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Trinity came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while Boiling Springs is ranked 235th).
Despite the defeat, Trinity got a solid performance out of Owen Schlager, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Schlager has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 13 times he's played. Andre Steele was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.
Susquehanna Township posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 59-36 margin over Steelton-Highspire. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Susquehanna Township.
Trinity's loss ended a 14-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-3. As for Susquehanna Township, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Trinity strolled past Susquehanna Township when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 77-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
