Football Game Preview: Decatur Seahawks vs. Easton Warriors + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Kyle Mumford and Jamier Copper are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Decatur Seahawks will square off against the Easton Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Decatur's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four games.

Decatur's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Bennett, posting a 38-0 win. The Seahawks haven't had any issues with the Clippers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Decatur can attribute much of their success to Johnny Hobgood, who threw for 123 yards and one TD, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Decatur didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brian Chester and Cole Muir. Decatur received some extra help from Seamus Orth, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Easton and Queen Anne's County have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Warriors took a hard 33-14 fall against the Lions. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Easton fell to 5-1. As for Decatur, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Decatur against Easton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 38-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seahawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
