Volleyball Recap: Mt. Pulaski Extends Winning Streak to Three

Mt. Pulaski waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Unity Christian Lions. The Hilltoppers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mt. Pulaski got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 20-25, 15-10.

Audrey Cooper was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 19 digs and two aces.

Cooper wasn't the only good server: Mt. Pulaski was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.

Mt. Pulaski's record now sits at 5-3. As for Unity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Mt. Pulaski has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against LeRoy on the 6th. As for Unity Christian, they will face off against St. Teresa at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
