Baseball Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy Gets the Win

Randolph-Macon Academy is still undefeated this season after their contest against Fishburne Military on Tuesday, but Fishburne Military came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Yellow Jackets came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Caissons. The three-run effort marked the Yellow Jackets' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Thomas Glasgow spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Randolph-Macon Academy's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Grove, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Randolph-Macon Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fishburne Military, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
