Basketball Recap: Gainesville Comes Up Short

Gainesville's game on Tuesday was all tied up 32-32 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Aubrey Chaparrals by a score of 63-60. The loss continues a trend for the Leopards in their matchups with the Chaparrals: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Gainesville lost, don't look at Max Neelley. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 29 points and 11 boards. Neelley has become a key player for Gainesville: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 10-17 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Bugg Kemp, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 14 points and eight assists.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 18-18. As for Aubrey, their win bumped their record up to 21-10.
