Volleyball Recap: Johnson's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It was a good run, but Johnson unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Burke County Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-13.

Burke County can attribute much of their success to Cheyenne Queen, who had 16 assists. Those 16 assists gave Queen a new career-high. Ra'Shanna Heath also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Burke County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Coincidentally, Johnson and Burke County will both be playing Davidson Fine Arts the next time they take the court. The Bears will head out to face the Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
