Baseball Recap: Tonasket Has No Trouble Against Manson

Tonasket had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Manson on Saturday. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Trojans. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Bradon Prock was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tonasket is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-5 otherwise. Prock was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Tonasket got a massive performance out of Jesse Williams, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Colton Denny was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Tonasket's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Manson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Tonasket will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair will be back at it again later today.
