Baseball Recap: Picayune Wins Going Away Against Biloxi

Picayune posted their biggest victory since March 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Biloxi Indians with a sharp 11-1 win. For the Maroon Tide, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Mason Bayless was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Helton, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Picayune was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

As for Biloxi, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against Archbishop Rummel on the 14th.
