Baseball Game Preview: American Heritage Stallions vs. Okeechobee Brahmans

American Heritage is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Okeechobee is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Stallions will host the Brahmans at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

On Monday, American Heritage needed a bit of extra time to put away Coral Springs. They had just enough and edged out the Colts 9-8.

American Heritage got several good pitching performances, but Noah Garfinkel was perhaps the best, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). Garfinkel has become a key player for the Stallions: the team is 7-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Ryan Ashley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. Carlos Jimenez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Okeechobee beat LaBelle 5-2 on Friday.

American Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Okeechobee, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

American Heritage came out on top in a nail-biter against Okeechobee in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Stallions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Brahmans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
