Baseball Recap: Stafford Indians vs. Colonial Forge Eagles
Monday just wasn't the day for Stafford's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Colonial Forge Eagles on Monday. Stafford has not had much luck with Colonial Forge recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Stafford got a good showing from Hampton Bourne, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bourne has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances.
Stafford now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Colonial Forge, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
