Dan River won the last time they faced George Washington and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats blew past the Eagles 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

One reason for the win was Dan River's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-5, 25-4.

Ally Silvey paced Dan River's offense, picking up nine kills. Silvey got some help from Bayleigh Merricks and her 15 assists. Silvey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Dan River's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for George Washington, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dan River will host Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Magna Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
