Softball Recap: White Hall's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a good run, but White Hall unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sheridan Yellowjackets by a score of 3-2. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bethany Roper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jerrica Olson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run.

White Hall's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-7-1. As for Sheridan, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

White Hall and Sheridan should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings. The Bulldogs will face off against Hot Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (29 vs. 162). Meanwhile, Sheridan (ranked ninth) will meet Greene County Tech (ranked 51st) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
